The Transit of Venus, June 5, 2012

                                                                                                 Dr. Ashan

She's tryin' to beam
Her love here,
Back-dropt by Sol's
Thermal cauldron

Venus nibbles at
Helios edge,
Blocks tidbit
Of foment light
With her veiled orb

On calamitous Earth,
--named not for Titans,
But strewn, peaty-roots--
Hominoids don't note
The up-tick of amour,
Turn to measure
A tumor on brightness,
Forget they are love, period.
