Living Nightlights, summer 2018

Lacewing on lamp chimney tonight,
Brushes my arm as I switch off light.

Bee ricochets lamp chimney this eve,
Buzzes my face as I turn to leave.

Spider descends chimney lamp's curve,
Twilight breeze makes web's-thread swerve.

Two gnats on lamp's opalescent edge,
Peer like sightseers over scalloped ledge.

Tiny moth scales illumined chimney glass,
Leaves silhouette upon tapered impasse.
